Fine Art Furnishings is a collaboration between painter Mary Jane Andreozzi and Phil Gruppuso (Seekonk Woodworking). Most pieces start with a piece of wood that lends itself to a particular application — a table top or doors for a cabinet or drawer fronts. Once the piece is built, Mary Jane, inspired by the natural forms, the wood tones and the design, uses acrylic washes to enhance the work and transform it into a piece of fine art furniture. Then the piece comes back to Phil for finishing and installation of any hardware. All pieces are one-of-a-kind. We welcome commissions.
The acrylac wash adds a distinctive appearance to the ambrosia maple drawer fronts of this unique jewelry chest. The quartersawn oak case measures 8” tall x 14” wide x 9-1/2” deep. The three drawers are felt lined.
